About Us

ASPI strives:
● To produce and perform professional quality, affordable, family-friendly theatrical productions,
● To build confidence and character, and
● To bring a new appreciation for the arts and a memorable experience.

Our small organization has become a well-known and popular part of Abrams and the surrounding communities. Many of our shows include a sold out performance because of the love of theater we instill in our volunteers. Volunteers from all walks of life, from grandparents to adults to kids, and many are families looking for a fun activity to do together! Audience members enjoy our laid back but professional approach to theater. Volunteers enjoy the lifelong friendships they make as part of ASPI.

We enjoy seeing your joy and encouraging a place for the arts our community!

Beauty and the beast

About the The Facility:

We perform in The Nancy Byng Community Theater which was formerly the St. Louis Catholic Church in Abrams. For more information on our theater space, check out Before there were spotlights and solos. It took many volunteer hours to convert the church to a performance-ready space. Changes included installing a stage, lighting, a small dressing room, costume & props storage, and converting a vestibule area into a concession stand. Additionally, office spaces were turned into the box office and sewing room. We added new seating, thanks to a generous grant from the Bond Foundation, as well as restoring the original hardwood floors. We strive to continuously maintain & restore the original beauty in this historic building, while making improvements to provide the best quality productions.
